How Did You and Your Spouse Meet?
Merik and I first met long ago on a blind date. It was a double date with his brother in law and sister Julie. I knew his brother in law from my childhood. His name is Wayne. We went to the old MGM theme park and we paid for ourselves "dutch" because he did not have enough money. First of all that did not impress me. He did pay for the lunch we ate. That was nice. I was under the impression that you go dutch on a date when you have known the person for awhile. He came in jeans and a t-shirt and looked real skinny to me. I did more talking to Wayne than him. Partly because I tend to be shy on dates and didn't really know him at all. He says I was a man hater after my divorce. That is a very wrong and untrue.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
Another year older and how strange it is to me to think that I am as old as I am. I think that when you get older you kind of stop getting older in your mind, but your body tells you otherwise. I remember as a child thinking my parents were really old, but now it doesn't seem that way at all. Believe it or not I have even forgotten my age at times and really had to think about it. I new the ball park area of my age. Who's counting right!

Tribute to Nicole Cave
I wanted to say something special about you, but I want others to see it. So I am doing it this way. She is my oldest neice. She is very funny, caring, & creative. Enough to put me to shame. You have a sincere heart and truest desire to do what is right. You have a strong loving personality. I don't know what you will do or say about Ashton when he gets to be 90 or 100. It could happen! You are a born leader. You choose to lead in righteous ways. There is a lot to be said for that. Your hair cuts and coloring have always been some of the best I've had. Scrapbooking and blogging are up your alley, and you do it well. She led many of us to blogging, even if we never would have done it otherwise. She even helped to make it look great which can be time consuming. Thanks for helping me. I wouldn't have done it without you. I love you Nicole and am grateful to have you as a neice.
