Hello! Today is a beautiful day and I went for a walk with my father in law Max. He feels a little confused at times. He couldn't remember who I was, or where he was this morning. I think it is because my sister in law and her husband have had him with them for the last two weeks. He has gotten to the point that I need to keep directions of things for him to do very basic and only give him one thing at a time. He has alzehiemers and it is very frustrating to him to feel all confused. He was only here for 3 days and now is gone back to Armagosa Valley North of Pahrump where they are living in a garage while they build they're home. They say they have a very nice set up with a kitchen and bathroom. They are all in one big room otherwise. until their home is finished. They have been having Poppy help them in the yard planting, mixing cement, and holding the post for the fence they are putting around the property. Believe it or not he is a 90 year old man. They keep him busy. They say he enjoys it. This week they are going to pour the foundation for the rest of the home. While he is here I have him take out the garbage and set the table, or push Baylee in the swing. He also likes to take walks. Today I took him around the block. I need to get more exercise myself and thought that it would be a good idea to do. I don't want to get all flabby with loose skin hanging all over. That is just not a pretty thing.

Surgery
Hello! I feel great! The surgery went very well. I am sorry I haven't updated. I have been trying to recooperate. I was very tired following surgery and slept about 3 hours. The previous nights to the surgery I felt anxious and excited and woke up early to nights in a row. One night at 2:30 and the next at 3 am. My chest felt heavy and kind of like I had gas pain up high. I told my room mate Myra and she said you need to get up and walk and belch. Oh how lovely. Never in my life has belching felt sooooo goood. I was tender and sore and did not want to move at first and just wanted to sleep. So the pains meds I took to relax and get rested a little. Rolling or moving was just a painful thought especially sitting up because the stomach muscles felt like I started a new exercise program and did a thousand sit ups. I made myself get out of bed finally. Partly because I needed to go to the restroom. I also knew I needed to get moving. So I made myself get up. I felt better once I did. Previous to that they brought me lunch. It was the same meal the whole time I was there. Chicken noodle soup, gatorade, yogurt, V8 juice, saltine crackers, and hard candy to suck on because your mouth is really dry and pasty feeling, and water. The broth is what I had from the soup mostly, but Dr. Rutledge said that we could eat the noodles and if there is one that slides down your throat it won't kill you. I tried to eat a little of each food for balanced meals. I found that if I eat to fast I get what they call dumping or mix the thicker foods with the liquids I get ill. I dry heaved about 4 times and realized I need to slow it down and not mix things up to much. I would wait about 15 minutes between things. Then eat a little more. I am no longer taking my old meds per doctor R. and my blood pressure was 114/76 this morning. It is awesome! I will tell you more later. I love you all and am truly thankful all the love and support.

I took the notebook in today and the surgery date is set for next Wednesday the 16th. Pray for me please. I love you all, Bren
