Leven Thumps

I have been reading the 4 book series for about the last 2 weeks. I went to Deseret Book and found books 2 and 3 for $1.99 each. They're the hardcover, I couldn't pass it up. I have been wanting to read it for awhile now. I checked out book 1 at the library and read it and number 2 and then before I started number 3 went to the library so I would be able to get number 4 quickly and read it when I was done. I think I read number 3 in 2 days. They are about 300-380 pages. They are fun books that are not really Harry Potteryish, but fun in there own way. I am into them and cannot believe how the characters in the book hardly ever get to rest. It's almost exhausting just thinking about. Tired and hungry, as well as constantly moving, with the what's gonna happen next feeling. I think I will check for #4 at the library today. Does anyone know where I can find #1 and 4 on sale?

Wall with Pictures and Swag

I don't think I posted this wall decorated in my room. I like the way it turned out. It took sometime to clean the dust off the swag. Dusting is not my favorite job.

Student of the Week Poster

This is for a class kind of spotlight thing for Baylee at school. I miss understood that they will ask for it when they make them the student of the week. Ms. Baker has the student lead the others in line formation and other similar stuff. Oh well, it is ready for when it does happen. I made it colorful on a black poster board to make things stand out better. I think I would do it different if I did it again, because it seems a little busy to me. Hind sight is twenty twenty they say. I found out that Baylee will also be in the preschool next year. I thought maybe she would have to get on a list again. I was very happy to hear that. I had her help cut some of the circles out.

Bed Spreads and Sheets Cheap!

I was at Walmart by the Easter candy section and there is a sale area next to it with toys, sheets, comforters, etc. I found twin sheet sets that were originally $15. marked down to $7. and a lady there said she just price checked some and they were even cheaper. $3.50 for the sheet set and $11. for the reversible comforter. I couldn't pass it up. They also had Lego toys for really good deals. The Indiana Jones and Castle ones for $15. and $21 and one of them was about $25 originally $89. I wish they had the Star Wars ships. I think I will check at another Walmart tomorrow for some different color comforters.

Chef Baylee

Baylee really likes to help in the kitchen or where ever. She is a lot of fun. We were making cookies for grandpa Poppy's 91st birthday celebration. It is also good one on one time with her. I must say I do enjoy it. I am also working on more time with Brandon. By the way she is cleaning the bowl. That is why it is all over her face. I remember when I was a child and that was great to lick the spoon and clean out the rest of the bowl at the end. Yummy!!!

Grocery Smarts

Hello! I am always up for saving money, and we had a meeting the other night about grocery smarts. Becky Bunting taught us about it. It was a Relief Society meeting thingy. Whatever they call them now. I don't go to RS, because I am a Primary teacher for the 11-12 year olds. It seems fairly simple I thought, and then I went home to scope out the grocery smarts website. I checked it out and realized I think I need more 1 on 1 to really understand what to do. Becky and Nancy Ashby are both knowledgeable in this and Nancy offered to come over and help me out tomorrow. She said she would be in my neighborhood then. Believe me I am looking forward to it. I remember when I purchased a bunch of food at Smith's case lot sale around Sept./Oct. 2008. I was excited at how much I got and saved. It was about half the price I would have paid. I got 2 very full shopping carts full of food for about $230. The grocery smarts teaches you how to shop using coupons and purchasing things when they are already on sale so they are really cheap. Sometimes even free. Becky said 1 time they even paid her .11 cents. I am excited to get started and do this regularly. The grocery smarts website is listed on the blog here and if you want to learn about it more let me know. Maybe I will have Becky or Nancy come and tell you more about it. They show you how to make it easy to collect, and keep the coupons. Also you will know if you are getting a good deal by checking the website and pre checking coupons and sales before you go to shop. I'll let you know how this turns out. If you check Nancy and Becky's blogs you will see how much stuff they got, and how much they spent. They have taken pictures and posted the results.
