Merik Got a Tunneling Job

Yeah! He starts tomorrow. The Lord is watching over us. Thank You. I am awaiting job info. for me. I really want to do per diem with Life Care. It will help me to get my foot in the door if I want to do full time or part time later. I also really like the company. When Baylee is in school full time I can change things.

Job Interviews, Etc.

I have had a few interviews with Life Care. I also received some calls, and things seem to rolling along nicely. I have been told it is a lengthy process to get into Life Care as an employee. It could take up to a month, mainly because of the background checks. They require background checks, TB shots, a physical, and finger printing before they can start an employee. That is okay with me. They allow you to set your own hours as long as you fulfill the agreed time frame for full time, or part time. They have a great set up with a variety of care to meet the various needs. I am hoping things work out.

Currently Jobless & Looking

Merik is now on the out of work list with the union. I am attempting to refine my resume, and do some networking. For those unfamiliar with what networking is...it is finding friends, or others you know that can refer you to jobs. There are jobs out there fortunately in the field of Physical Therapy. Merik may get a tunneling job. We're not sure yet. Let's hope and pray. One of us needs to be home for the children though, at least until they are in school full time.

Septimus Heap - A New Series that I am Currently Enjoying

I have been reading this series recently and rather enjoying it. I must say that I really don't like when I read a book and find there are 4 more and I can't get them from the library fast enough. It usually takes me about 3-4 days a book. I wanted to know how many more of this series there is, and I am still not sure. I read the first one that I bought at Brandon's school library book fair for $5. Then I wanted to know if there were more. I checked a website and found out the info below.

KRC: Is there any chance we'll see MAGYK (or any of the other four books) on the big screen?

AS: Warner Brothers has the movie rights for all seven books in the Septimus Heap series, and MAGYK is in development at the moment, which is great. David Frankel (who directed Marley & Me) is piloting it through this stage, and I heard recently that there are some great screenwriters working in it. I think it will make a wonderful movie.

I have been trying to figure out how to add a book cover picture to this, but don't know how. I have found them, highlighted them, tried to do a copy and paste thing and it is not working. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I wanted to put these on a sidebar thing not here, but this will have to do.
I just read that it will be coming out after the Harry Potter movies are all done in 2012. I also read it will be an animated film. I am not as excited about that, but think it will still make a good movie, and there will be 7 books 5 are already out. I messed up somehow and got 2 of the same book on this post. The 4th book is called Quest, and I just read it and it was really good.

Our Fort - Not Knox

So how's this for a fun eye sore? It's all in the name of fun for the children. It honestly kind of scares me. Brandon and Baylee are hard at work painting away. We have plans to get rid of the old swing set and use this instead. I just hope it is a project that gets done. I love that Merik has the desire to create something that is fun for his kids. He is a very hard worker. It is a fort that is not finished yet. Merik is planning to add swings, a climbing rope, and put some sides around the top. He made it so he could walk under it when mowing the lawn, and not have to duck.
