Easter Cupcakes
Easter
We did the Easter Story Cookies. It was a first for us. As you add ingredients you read scriptures and talk about how the ingredient relates to the story. You preheat the oven and turn it off after adding the cookies. You put the cookies in the oven over night and seal up the oven tomb. When they awake they have delicious cookies that are "hollow" like the tomb was empty, when they came to visit the tomb. It never ceases to amaze me at how well Brandon understands and knows the story. We asked him all kinds of questions and he was right on with the answers. I think we will continue this tradition. I think it is a great way to explain the true meaning of Easter.

We ate a fabulous ham that was falling apart when we removed it from the oven.

A Dear Friends Death
My good friend Rachelle Moreland died this week. We used to work out at Gold's Gym, and go walking together. She has been very sick for awhile. She had Lupus, and back problems. She was a very beautiful lady, and I will miss her. My husband came into my Primary classroom and told me about it while I was teaching. It was difficult to keep my composure. I was very surprised about her passing. I still am having difficulty comprehending that it really happened. I found the obituary in the news paper and cut it out today. She was my age, which is not very old. I saw her husband at home a few days ago, and thought about stopping and saying hi. I don't see him very often, because of his work schedule. I was a bit surprised to see he was outside, and home when I did. Now I am thinking maybe the spirit was trying to tell me I should have stopped. I think it was about the time she died. I think I am still in shock about this. I have thought about calling but think about how hard it can be for loved ones to talk about it afterwards and figure it is probably better to wait and do so at the viewing or funeral. She has 2 beautiful daughters and a wonderful husband. Her one daughter, and her did everything together. Alot like best friends. They seemed to be very close. She is very young to lose her mom, about age 20. I am truly grateful for the Savior and his Atonement. As well as the ability we have to be sealed together as eternal families. So that we can be with our Father in Heaven and families forever.

Brandon and Lego's
Brandon has become very good with his lego's. He has fun creating all kinds of things with them. I will have to start taking pictures of his creations. I love that he is very imaginative. He is also very dramatic sometimes.

Leprachuan Day Pudding
I had Brandon and Baylee shake vanilla pudding with green food coloring in it. It was yummy, and fun. I double bagged it so it wouldn't suddenly burst open and get all over. That would have been a disaster. I was going to use it in a pie pan for Baylee to practice writing her ABC's in and then she could lick her fingers clean. I thought Brandon would have fun doing that also, but we didn't get to that part of it. They just ate it. I have taken chocolate milk powder and had her do the ABC thing. They love it.
Sing The ABC's Baylee
Hello, I thought this just had to be recorded. The LMNOP is my favorite part of the ABC's I think almost every kid has a hard time separating them. I love the way they end up jumbled altogether. This was definitely a video moment. I think you'll probably agree. This one is for posterity, and all those embarrassing things you can't wait to show a fiance someday. Oh, maybe that's for big brother to do. I am having a hard time using the blogger video upload. If and when I figure it out I will put it on here. It is a hilarious video. Also, adorable.

Leven Thumps and The Wrath of Ezra
I finished reading number 4 and can't wait for the final book. I was looking at the other books to see approximately how long it might be. So far it seems it has been 1 book a year. So I am thinking sometime in the fall. It will be interesting to see how it all ends up. He writes some amazingly short chapters sometimes.
