Preschool for Baylee

That is right. She started the end of the second week of February. If you are late picking your child up they will be kicked out of school. I have worked hard at being early each day. That is how Baylee got in, someone was late picking up their child. I am required to read with her daily and by the end of the year our reading time together must increase by 10 minutes. I also have to spend one on one time with her. Playing with her, going to the park or library, looking at pictures, doing crafts, etc. Parents must volunteer 2 1/2 hours of time a month to help in the classroom. They also have suggested things to do with your child to help them learn. Another required thing is that you attend a meeting once a month of parent education to improve your parenting skills. The have a day they spotlight the child and you make a poster for the week depicting things in their life. I am happy for her she seems to be enjoying it. I am enjoying the kid free trips to the grocery store. I can keep my sanity. As well as having time for myself. Don't we all crave that at times as mothers.

Painted Bedroom Pictures

The Faux painted wall I think is a little dark and I may faux paint a lighter purple to violet with it to tone it down, and still want to do a trim that is in a lighter paint color. Also my large swag that I had over the bed is dusty and so I need to dust it off and put it up. I will put it on lighter painted wall with the 3 pictures. I was also thinking maybe I would do something behind the 3 pictures on the closet wall to make them standout better. Any ideas? I was thinking of maybe do the Family name like Ragan did for her children on the wood letters. It is really very cute. It definetly looks better than it did. By the way I still have touch up to do. I just wanted to get our room back together.

Painting, Again!

Can you believe it? I am painting our bedroom now. This takes longer since it is much bigger. I also have been rearranging the bedroom. I can't wait until it is finished. I need to get a new media card for my camera so I can take pictures of the results. Originally I painted our room a very soft pastel violet on 2 walls, and pastel green on the other 2 walls. Back in those days my hubby was very against dark colors. Now he says he doesn't care as long as I'm happy. Oh Yeah, I love it. I got brave and went with a tan and very dark purple. I put the dark purple over the closet wall, because it is the smallest and I have heard that dark colors make a room look smaller. 2 walls are finished and one almost. The last one I think I am going to do solid purple on the bottom half and the top faux paint with the same color. Then get a trim for the one wall and paint it with the dark purple first and then dry brush it with the lighter color tan or maybe the pale violet I have left over. By the way the purple is so dark it almost looks like a dark blue.
