Tape Residue, Oh What Fun!
The hardest thing is getting the tape off of his skin. He whines and complains about it. I know it's no fun, but he doesn't even want me to touch it. I have tried soap and water, vegetable oil, and even finger nail polish remover. I even just pulled a small section off after loosen it the best I could and he had a cow. I figured lets just get it over with. If it was up to him he'd leave it on until it falls off and wears off. That could be a while.

Home Last Night, Yeah!
Brandon did so well the doctor asked if we wanted to take him home last night. Oh boy, we excited. You bet Doc we're outta here. Thanks! We got home at about 10:45 last night. He did some crafts, and played X box, and music time while at the hospital, and we took several walks. He did great!

Surgery Went Very Well.
Brandon is doing rather well. He cried this morning before we left for the hospital. When we got there he went to the back of the van, and did not want to get out. Dad had to take him by the hand and coax him. He did well once he was in the hospital. It was amazing, more like a blessing. When he was awaking following the surgery he tried to pull the catheter out. They gave him some more meds to calm him down. He was awake just very groggy. When we saw him he was doing quite well. I had a talk with the anesthesiologist about my concerns for when he wakes previous to the surgery, relating his past experiences. Merik was in the game/toy room with Brandon at that time. Generally as soon as he wakes he is ready to get everything off of him and will scream and cry until they do. Granted he was younger then. I know the Lord heard and answered our prayers. Thank you all. He will be home in a few days. He can only have sips of water for the rest of today. In the morning he will be able to eat normal meals. I thought he probably wouldn't be able to go swimming Sat. for the Primary pool party because of stitches. The doctor said he could go now. They stitched him internally and glued the outer part. He has 3 small incisions. He said you'll be surprised at how much energy he will have. I am going to take him his new Lego ship to play with for entertainment. He could play with it for hours.

Surgery a Real Scary Thing For a Child - Especially Brandon
Hello I feel like I haven't written much lately. I have been stressing over getting ready for Brandon to have surgery and it is tomorrow. It is a robotic surgery for Urinary Reflux. Meaning the doctor will use a robot to do the surgery. The Dr. is Waldo Feng and said he has never had a failure for this surgery. It has always been successful. So why then am I concerned? Brandon really stresses about things like this, and ran away when he needed have a VCUG. Granted it's no fun either. This time he will be over night 1-2 days. Also when he wakes up with a catheter, and IV's that's is not going to go over well. The surgery will be about 4 hours long. It is in the morning and I am not looking forward to telling him when it is. It is better with him not to tell him to soon. He knows it is coming, just not the exact time. He will have to bathe 2 times with the medicated soap diluted, before the procedure. He knows about that so once I tell him it is time to bathe he will not be excited. I did not want him worried about this while he was in school. I am more concerned about his reaction, worry, stress, that is what is stressing me. I love him very much, but he must wonder about that when it comes time to do something like this, and he doesn't want to do it. Please keep us in your prayers. Thanks, Brenda
