Grocery Smarts
Hello! I am always up for saving money, and we had a meeting the other night about grocery smarts. Becky Bunting taught us about it. It was a Relief Society meeting thingy. Whatever they call them now. I don't go to RS, because I am a Primary teacher for the 11-12 year olds. It seems fairly simple I thought, and then I went home to scope out the grocery smarts website. I checked it out and realized I think I need more 1 on 1 to really understand what to do. Becky and Nancy Ashby are both knowledgeable in this and Nancy offered to come over and help me out tomorrow. She said she would be in my neighborhood then. Believe me I am looking forward to it. I remember when I purchased a bunch of food at Smith's case lot sale around Sept./Oct. 2008. I was excited at how much I got and saved. It was about half the price I would have paid. I got 2 very full shopping carts full of food for about $230. The grocery smarts teaches you how to shop using coupons and purchasing things when they are already on sale so they are really cheap. Sometimes even free. Becky said 1 time they even paid her .11 cents. I am excited to get started and do this regularly. The grocery smarts website is listed on the blog here and if you want to learn about it more let me know. Maybe I will have Becky or Nancy come and tell you more about it. They show you how to make it easy to collect, and keep the coupons. Also you will know if you are getting a good deal by checking the website and pre checking coupons and sales before you go to shop. I'll let you know how this turns out. If you check Nancy and Becky's blogs you will see how much stuff they got, and how much they spent. They have taken pictures and posted the results.
